Legora Secures $550M Series E at $8.8B Valuation
Legal AI startup Legora announced Wednesday that it has raised a $550 million Series E round, valuing the company at $8.8 billion. The funding marks a significant milestone as the legal industry shifts beyond AI assistants toward AI services that actively help professionals complete their work.
Doubling Down on Legal Workflow Automation
Legora's platform automates and assists with workflow tasks for legal professionals, positioning the company at the center of a broader industry transition from conversational AI tools to agentic, task-completing AI services.
ARR More Than Doubles to $200M+
The Series E follows Legora's April announcement of a $50 million extension to its $550 million Series D round, which valued the company at $5.6 billion at the time. Legora disclosed then that its annual recurring revenue (ARR) had reached $100 million. On Wednesday, the company shared that ARR now stands at over $200 million—more than doubling in a matter of months.
Competitive Landscape: Harvey Sets the Pace
The news arrives just a month after Legora's biggest competitor, Harvey, announced its own $550 million raise at a $15.5 billion valuation. In March, Harvey also reported that its ARR had surpassed $200 million. The parallel trajectories of the two legal AI leaders underscore the intense competition—and investor appetite—in the legal tech sector heading into 2026.
Investor Lineup and Expansion Plans
The latest round was led by Atreides Management, with participation from Baron Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, Menlo, and other prominent investors. Legora plans to deploy the fresh capital toward further expansion across North America, deepening its footprint in the world's largest legal services market.
