Northwood Space Secures $375M Series C at $2B Valuation

Space infrastructure company Northwood Space announced Monday that it has raised $375 million in a Series C round co-led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and DFJ Growth, valuing the company at $2 billion.

What Northwood Space Does

Founded in 2022, Northwood builds antennas, software, and other technologies designed to help satellites communicate more effectively with Earth. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Bridgit Mendler, who previously worked as an actress.

Rapid Funding Momentum in 2026

The Series C marks the company's second major raise this year. In January 2026, Northwood closed a $100 million Series B—also co-led by Andreessen Horowitz—alongside a contract worth nearly $50 million with the U.S. Space Force to upgrade the nation's satellite control network, as TechCrunch previously reported.

Use of Funds

The latest round also includes a financial agreement with HSBC. Combined with the new funding, the capital will be used to scale the company, expand hiring, and fulfill existing contracts, according to the startup.
