The Race for Biological Youth
A new contest is pitting competitors against each other in a race to biological youth—and I'll be joining them.
What Is Biological Age?
Biological age is a measure of how well your body is functioning relative to chronological age. It's estimated using biomarkers like DNA methylation, which are analyzed through epigenetic clocks. These clocks can reveal whether your body is aging faster or slower than expected.
In 2026, the longevity field has exploded. Startups and research labs are racing to develop interventions that slow or reverse biological aging. The contest I'm entering is one of several initiatives testing whether lifestyle changes, supplements, and emerging therapies can actually move the needle.
The Contest Format
Competitors will undergo regular biological age testing over a set period. The goal is simple: reduce your biological age as much as possible. Participants will have access to a range of tools—from personalized diet and exercise plans to cutting-edge supplements and stress-reduction techniques.
I'll be documenting my experience: what works, what doesn't, and what the science actually says. Along the way, I'll interview experts and dig into the claims behind each intervention.
Why It Matters
The race isn't just about winning. It's about advancing our understanding of aging. If we can identify which interventions truly slow biological aging, we could extend healthspan for millions.
But there are caveats. Biological age tests are still imperfect, and no single intervention has been proven to reverse aging in humans. The contest is as much a scientific experiment as it is a competition.
Stay tuned for updates as I put my own biology to the test.
