A Video Showcase for AI Work
How do you know an AI project is real? You know it's real when you watch it run. That's the concept behind ShipAI, now live on Towards Data Science (TDS). It's a dedicated video showcase where AI practitioners share screen-recorded walkthroughs of their work—whether it's an app, an agent, a pipeline, or an experiment—and our editorial team reviews and publishes them.
What to Expect on a Project Page
Each ShipAI entry is a video walkthrough, typically 4 to 15 minutes long, where the creator explains what inspired the project, how they built it, how it operates, and what they learned along the way. These videos are complemented by:
- AI-Generated Key Takeaways: Get a concise summary in seconds to decide if you want to watch the full video.
- Searchable Transcript: A lightly cleaned, searchable transcript that lets you jump directly to the topic you're interested in.
- Stack Notes: A detailed look at the models, infrastructure, and tools used, with direct links for further exploration.
- Project Links: Direct links to the project's home, whether on GitHub, Hugging Face, or as a live demo. We showcase the work, not host it.
Every builder also receives a profile page that collects all their shipped projects, creating a portfolio of their contributions.
Launch Day Content
ShipAI opens with over 30 published walkthroughs recorded this summer by our founding builders, many of whom are TDS authors you may already follow. The launch lineup includes diverse examples: a retrieval experiment on RAG chunk sizes, an AI-powered damage-report generator for warehouse operations, and a creative project transforming a CV into a playable video game.
These projects span a wide spectrum—from weekend experiments to tools already in production—showcasing the breadth of AI work being done today.
Editorial Review for Quality and Substance
The same editorial team that oversees TDS articles operates ShipAI. Our focus isn't on flashy production values; we prioritize videos that genuinely help other builders understand what you created, how you built it, and why it matters. If a submission offers clear insight and useful technical depth, it's a strong candidate for publication.
Show Us What You've Built
Have you recently shipped something real in AI? We want to see it. Record a screen walkthrough using tools like Loom, OBS, or QuickTime that capture your screen and narration, then submit it through our editorial process. ShipAI is your opportunity to showcase your work to a community of engaged AI practitioners and enthusiasts.
