Almost All of Amazon's New Echo Devices Are Now Available — Except the Flagship Echo Show 16
Amazon's latest Echo lineup is largely ready to ship, giving buyers immediate access to most of the refreshed smart speakers and smart displays the company announced. The one notable exception is the premium Echo Show 16, which Amazon says will arrive later this year.
What's Available Now
Most of the newly announced Echo hardware can be ordered and, in many cases, purchased outright today. The rollout reflects Amazon's continued push to position Alexa as the hub of the smart home — a strategy that has only intensified in 2026 as the company leans further into AI-powered conversational experiences across its device ecosystem.
The Echo Show 16: Worth the Wait?
The flagship Echo Show 16 is the standout of the new lineup, but it won't be in buyers' hands until later this year. Amazon has not yet confirmed a precise release date for the larger-format smart display. Those holding out for the top-tier model will need to wait a little longer, while the rest of the range is ready to go right now.
The Bottom Line
If you've been eyeing an upgrade to your smart home setup, most of Amazon's new Echo gear is available immediately. Only shoppers set on the premium Echo Show 16 will need to plan around a delayed launch later in 2026.
