Anthropic's Annualized Revenue Surges Past $65 Billion

Anthropic's revenue growth shows no signs of slowing, with the AI model maker's annualized revenue run rate โ€” a projection of full-year revenue based on recent performance โ€” surpassing $65 billion at the end of July, according to a Bloomberg report on Monday. This marks a significant leap from $47 billion in May and just $9 billion at the close of last year.

Anthropic did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The company's investors anticipate continued growth at a similar pace for the rest of the year, with projections for 2026 landing between $100 billion and $120 billion, as reported by the Financial Times.

In comparison, rival OpenAI has doubled its revenue to $40 billion, up from $20 billion at the end of 2025, Bloomberg reported last week. While the two companies may calculate revenue metrics differently, Anthropic's growth rate has captured investors' attention far more than OpenAI's.

Both companies have filed confidential IPO paperwork, but Anthropic is expected to debut on public markets ahead of OpenAI โ€” potentially as early as this fall. According to the Financial Times, Anthropic is seeking a public valuation of $2 trillion or more, which would mark the largest market debut on record. Anthropic was last valued at $965 billion in late May, when it raised a $65 billion funding round.
