Linq’s iMessage Apps Bring Payments, Tickets, Flights, and Games Into the iMessage Bubble
Linq’s latest release introduces iMessage Apps: interactive mini-apps that run entirely within an iMessage conversation. Now, users can shop, play games, book flights, or make payments without ever leaving the chat thread. There are no deep links to external browsers and no “tap here to finish in the app” prompts—everything happens inside the bubble.
Previously, the primary API option for agents was to send a link, forcing users to navigate away to complete an action. iMessage Apps eliminate that handoff, creating a seamless, in-line experience. This shift is especially relevant in 2026 as AI agents become more autonomous; iMessage Apps allow these agents to render tappable, updatable cards directly in the conversation, keeping users engaged without context switching. For developers, this means richer, more responsive interactions that can handle payments, itinerary updates, and live game states—all within the familiar iMessage interface.
